Our Family Update

Hi!

Welcome to the JagerJive blog! This is an update of our family. Thanks to my friend Marci Harper who inspired me to do this!

We have landed back in Southern California. We arrived back home on May 6th. This is truly home and we count ourselves blessed to be able to return to our former home, church, friends and our forever family. We made amazing friends in Arizona who will be part of our lives forever, and for whom we are so thankful! We spent 9 months there trying to start a new life, not that anything was wrong with our life before, and in the process created a huge place in our hearts for our friends and neighbors there.

I am back to my old job, Todd at his, and Quinnie with his former daycare. Because of this surreal situtation, we do feel a little like those 9 months were a "blip" on our radar screen of life- but a GREAT BLIP b/c of the wonderful friends we made and the awesome God-lessons learned.

Kyle is content with us in either city, and enjoys his visits here. He likes having a home in San Diego and in Phoenix, too. He's a junior in high school now! He has a 4.25 (like, how is that possible) excels in Math & Science, and doesn't want a driver's license! Cool! He loves to swim and play Xbox 360. When he's not swimming or playing Xbox, he's being a huge help to me with this little "brother from another mother." (that's Kyle's nickname for him)

Quinnie is almost 3 and is very naughty... and sweet and funny!! He's hilarous in fact. He is caught up in his langauge development in his range, but is at the early end of it, so we are just now hearing sentences of his own making. The other day he said, "Mom, you makin my cancakes?" Yes, he says cancakes! These moments of verbal brilliance arrive at will and disappear in the same manner. He knows his entire alphabet- letters and thier sounds, can count to 12 in Spanish (to 10 in English) and his best friend is Seannie D.

Well, that's an update on our lives. I'll try to dig around and find some pics of the family to publish on this site. I haven't taken many, especially of Kyle since he has been in AZ, but I'm sure I can find something!

Love,
Natalie for the family
